The short answer
Installation and your DStv subscription are separate costs, so “affordable” means a fair installation price plus a package you’ll actually use. Compare two or three itemised quotes, bundle jobs into one visit, reuse healthy equipment and check what’s included. The cheapest headline price is rarely the cheapest job.
Your installer charges for labour and parts. DStv charges for your viewing package. They’re two different bills, so check each one on its own. Package prices are on DStv’s website. For the installation side, read our 2026 cost guide.
